It’s A Civic Duty

I’ve noticed that more people aren’t picking up after their dog’s shit. Why do these people think they’re too good to pick up after THEIR dog? They wanted a dog, they should commit to the responsibilities.

I was walking mine at 6 am this morning and it was dark. I stepped in shit and didn’t notice it until I was cleaning and putting things away. I’m pissed. They’re my comfy sneakers, too. Now my OCD is like “throw them away, buy a new pair.” But I’d rather use these shoes for shit stepping.

It’s a civic duty to fucking pick up after your dogs. If you can’t make that one 5 second effort to pick up your dog’s shit, then don’t have a dog. You’re making the rest of us dog owners look bad.

Why Reddit is Not Ideal for Service Dog Advice

I’m over here, just trying to work on Freya’s training to be a service dog, and sometimes I lurk on Reddit in the service dogs subreddit. Just reading the posts and how people respond to those asking for advice is just astounding.

Some have even suggested that a handler should wash out their dog over an isolated incident. I used to think that some subreddits are there for support and guidance, but it’s really just a community of people sitting on their asses all day and stuffing their faces with Ho-Hos.

This is the view from where I was lying in the crate.

Then I went into full K-hole that one of my dogs got so worried she squeezed herself in next to me.

We don’t fucking deserve dogs.

Walking The Dogs

One of my dogs is dog reactive. He ignores people but when he sees another dog, he goes berserk. So when I walk my dogs, I have to do it when no one is out walking their dogs.

I took them for a walk around 10 am this morning at a shopping area with a lake and boardwalk. The only people around were old folks, kids and their parents, and people grabbing early lunch.
