My Dog Thinks 50 Cent Sucks

So while I’m working I play music because the background noise, believe it or not, helps me focus. It’s like when I was a kid and I would do homework, I would have the TV on much to my mother’s chagrin. She would scream at me to turn the TV off but I had to tell her that the background noise helped me focus. She gave up.

I’m Going To Start Liking This Little Life – Eventually

It hasn’t been a bad month but not a very good month either. In less than 30 days, I found a new therapist (she’s great), my husband had knee surgery, I witnessed a shooting, and now my dog has to be medicated because he’s too anxious and gets excited about everything – if that makes sense.

Pet Loss – One Of The Worst Losses In Life

I’m writing this on the plane on my way back home from a business trip.


My sister’s cat passed away suddenly last night due to feline heart failure. I was walking back to my room when my sister texted me. I broke down. I raised that cat from when he was a kitten. I was the one who picked him out with his sister over 11 years ago. It hurt. It always does when a pet passes away – unexpectedly or otherwise. You never get used to it. You never get desensitized to it.
